Accused of Rape Arrested
Police have arrested Serajul Miya, 51 and Johara Khatun, 50 of Dhobini Rural Municipality on the accusation of keeping hostage and gang rape of a 46-year-old woman. They were arrested from Dhobini Rural Municipality-5 on March 8, 2022.
The victim had filed a complaint against the accused at the Area Police Office Pokhariya on February 23, 2022. The health checkup of the victim was conducted at Narayani Hospital on the same day.
The victim’s husband, his second wife and others have also been identified as the accused and are now absconding. According to DSP Omparakash Khanal search is on for those who had absconded towards India.
The victim has accused that the rape was conspired by her husband and his second wife.
