Accused of Rape Arrested
Police arrested 53-year-old Jeet Bahadur Pahari of Bhumlu Rural Municipality-6 on February 23 for the charge of raping a nine-year-old girl. DSP Rajkumar Shrestha of the district police office said that the victim filed a complaint at the district police office on February 20, alleging that the accused had raped the victim while she had gone to cut grass. The victim had been staying at her maternal home for a long time as per the aggrieved party. She was raped after she returned home on February 18. The health examination of the victim was done on February 21 at Dhulikhel Hospital. DSP Shrestha informed INSEC that the accused was arrested and taken into custody for investigation.
