Accused Of Rape Arrested
Police arrested Yagya Murthy Bhandari, 44, Head of District Statistics Office, Bharatpur, who lives in Sunwal Municipality-12, Nawalparasi on September 3, 2023 on the charge of rape of a 35-year-old woman.
Bijayaraj Pandit, DSP, District Police Office informed that the victim filed a complaint at the District Police Office on September 3, alleging that the accused had repeatedly raped the victim, while she was working as an office assistant in the same office, for the past four years.
The victim was suffering from excessive bleeding during the abortion of her four-month pregnancy and was investigated about her relationship during the health examination on August 30 at Bharatpur Hospital.
The victim is currently being treated in the ICU of Bharatpur Hospital.
