Accused of Rape Arrested
Sagar Thapa, 28, of Bidur Municipality-13 has been arrested by the police on 24 April in the charge of rape of a 31-year-old woman.
Victim filed a complaint at the District Police Office alleging that the accused raped her on 9 October 2022.
DSP cum Information Officer of the District Police Office Khagendra Bahadur Khadka informed that the accused, who was absconding after the incident was arrested by the police when he came for last rites of his father.
As per DSP Khadka, accused has been kept under custody for the further investigation.
Medical examination of the victim was conducted at Tirshuli Hospital, on 23 October 2022.
