Accused of Rape Arrested
Police arrested Wisne Thagunna, 49, of Shailyashikhar Municipality-4 from Mahakali Municipality-4 Khalanga, on April 19, 2023, on the charge of rape of a 16-year-old girl.
The aggrieved party lodged a complaint at the District Police Office, Darchula, on April 14, accusing Thagunna of rape of the victim, on April 12.
Inspector Gyanendra Bahadur Singh, District Police Office, informed that Thagunna, who had absconded, was arrested from Bangabgad in Khalanga.
Inspector Singh also said that the accused is being investigated by the District Court, Darchula.
The medical examination of the victim was conducted on April 14, at District Hospital, Darchula.
