Accused of Rape Arrested
A 32-year-old brother in law was arrested from Melamchi on 5 February in the accusation of rape of a 25-year-old woman.
Aggrieved party has alleged that the accused raped the victim on 3 January, 2022, using coercion and threat while she was in her home.
As per inspector of the district police offie, Sanjeev Yadav, a complaint was filed against the accused at area police office, Melamchi on 26 January.
Medical examination of the victim was conducted at primary health centre, Melamchi on 16 January.
