Accused of Rape Arrested
Police have arrested Manoj Chaudhary, 19, of Kapilvastu Banganga Municipality-10, Odari, and Kul Bahadur Thapa of Tilottma Municipality-10, Supauli, from their house on January 24, 2023, on the charge of raping a 15-year-old girl.
The victim filed a complaint at the district police office on January 19, saying that the accused had raped the victim on January 7.
According to the victim’s family, the victim was raped on the pretext of taking her to a witch doctor for healing.
DSP, Shyamu Aryal of the District Police Office said the arrest was made based on the complaint.
The health examination of the victim was conducted on January 19 at the Lumbini Provincial Hospital.
