Accused of Rape Arrested
Chirta Bahadur Chaudhari, 43, of Gauriganga Municipality-8, Kailali has been arrested by the district police office on december 23 in the charge of raping a 20-year-old girl with speech impairment.
The accused was arrested based on the complaint filed by the victim’s relatives on June 5 at district police office. Health checkup of the victim was conducted at Gorkha hospital on December 23.
As per the DSP Lilaraj Laichane,since the victim was verbally impaired, the case came out after the victim got pregnant. DSP Lilaraj has informed that the case of rape has been registered against the accused at district court and investigation is ongoing.
