Accused of Rape Arrested
The police arrested 51-year-old Lakshman Khadka of Tilottama Municipality-3 Jankigar, on December 5, 2022, on the charge of raping a 48-year-old woman.
The victim had filed a complaint at the Butwal area police office on November 29 accusing Lakshman of raping the victim on November 2.
According to the victim, the accused was a property dealer. He had called to discuss the matter of property and he proceeded to force himself on her.
DSP Thug Bahadur KC, Area Police Office, Butwal, said the police have taken prompt action based on the complaint.
The health examination of the victim was done on November 29 at Lumbini Provincial Hospital.
