Accused of Rape Arrested
Police arrested Bhagwan Waleli Magar, 24, of Birendranagar Municipality-12 on the charge of raping a 12-year-old girl.
DSP Suraj Karki said that the accused had raped the victim on May 20, 2022, and filed a complaint at the District Police Office, Surkhet on July 26.
Relatives of the victim have informed that the girl delayed informing her mother about the incident as the accused had threatened to kill her.
Advocate Gita Koirala informed that the girl told her mother about the incident when the family inquired after the girl started zoning out and refused to go to school.
The health examination of the victim was done on July 27 at Provincial Hospital Surkhet.
