Accused of Murder Arrested
Police have arrested Santosh Paswan, 29, of Laxminiya Rural Municipality-4 on June 29, 2021 on the charge of strangling and killing his 23-year-old wife Priyanka Paswan.
Aryan Paswan, a five-year-old son of the deceased, said that his accused father had beaten his five-month-pregnant mother to death on June 28.
According to Aryan, his father kicked his mother’s belly. The father of the deceased, Binod Paswan, has accused Santosh of repeatedly beating his daughter after consuming alcohol. Binod Paswan, has lodged a complaint against the accused at the Area Police Office, Mahendranagar on June 29. The post-mortem of the body was conducted at the Provincial Hospital, Janakpur on June 29, said Inspector Tilak Sunar of the Area Police Office, Mahendranagar.
Priyanka, originally from Balwari Municipality-5, Mahottari district, was married to Santosh six years ago.
