Accused of Misbehaviour Arrested
Police have arrested Gajendra Bhandari known as Gahinder, 45, of Kedarsyu Rural Municipality-2 on January 17, 2022, on the charge of assaulting Chakra BK, 45, Ward Chairperson of Kedarsyu Rural Municipality-2.
Constable Ram Singh Dhami of Rayal Police Station told INSEC that the accused was arrested after Chairperson BK lodged a complaint alleging that Bhandari had assaulted and abused him on January 17.
He further added that during the medical examination it was confirmed that Bhandari had consumed alcohol and on January 18 he was handed over to Purna Bahadur Bhandari, a local, with a commitment of being present at the police station.
While returning home from the rural municipality office, Bhandari assaulted and verbally harrased BK on the basis of his caste at Kedarsyu Deura Bazaar.
According to Dhami, a constable at the Rayal Police Station, the victim and the accused have been summoned to the station on January 18.
