Accused of Killing Senior Citizen Arrested
Police arrested 40-year-old Rita Khatwe of Surunga Municipality-3 Laxmipur on April 20 for the charge of killing 68-year-old Biltu Ram of the same place.
The locals informed that the victim was severely injured by the beating of the accused on 3 April during a function at Deblal Ram’s of Surunga Municipality-3 Laxmipur. Subsequently, the victim lost his life on 18 April during treatment at Koshi Hospital, Biratnagar and the post-mortem of his body was done on the same day.
It is reported that Upendra Ram, 45-year-old husband of the accused who was also involved in the incident was absconding. Furthermore, the court informed that the arrest warrant against Upendra has been issued.
