Accused of Killing Arrested
Police arrested 40-year-old Kaji Sherpa on the charge of fatally beating his 38-year-old wife Kimu Sherpa of Siddhicharan Municipality-5, Biplate.
Inspector Bikash Rai of the District Police Office said that the accused had beaten Kimu Sherpa to death during a domestic dispute on February 23. The victim died during treatment at Okhaldhunga Community Hospital, Sobru on February 24.
The accused was arrested from his home on February 24 after the aggrieved party filed a complaint at the District Police Office on February 24.
Postmortem of the body was done at the District Hospital on February 24.
The body was cremated according to Lama culture in Siddhicharan Municipality-5 on 24 February.
