Accused of Killing Arrested
Police have arrested Mohan Tharu, 22, of Rupandehi District Kanchan Rural Municipality-2, on the charge of intentional homicide of Anjani Tharu, 18, of Banganga Municipality-6 and Bam Bahadur, 70, Tharu , on June 1, 2023.
Police said that the accused came from Rupandehi on June 1 and killed Anjani with a knife because she rejected his love proposal. Bam Bahadur was injured during the attack.
The team of the local police office sent both the injured to Kapilvastu Community Hospital Jitpur for treatment.
DSP Min Bahadur Ghale of District Police Office informed that Bam Bahadur and anjani died during treatment .
The bodies of both are at Kapilvastu District Hospital Taulihwa for post-mortem.
