Accused of Killing Arrested
Daughter in law of the victim, Chanda Devi Mahat, 50, has been arrested by the area police office, Lahan on January 4, in the charge of beating Darpi Devi Koirala, 72, of Dhangadi Municipality-6 to death.
Son of the victim informed that they filed a complaint at area police office on January 4 against the accused after she beat the victim to death by hitting her with a stick following a household dispute.
Postmortem of the body was conducted at Provincial hospital, Lahan, on January 4.
Inspector of the area police office, Krishna Khatri informed that the accused has been arrested and the case is under investigation.
