Accused of Killing Arrested
Swor Bahadur Namjali Magar, 35, has been arrested after being accused of stabbing his, wife Lalita Namajlai, 32, Magar to death, on September 22. The victim was a resident of Gauriganga Municipality- 5 Anadaiya.
A local witness Laxmi Ramjali during a meeting with an INSEC representative stated that the accused, who had been working in India since mid-August, had arrived at his home on September 21; he then allegedly stabbed his wife to death and attempted to stab his daughter on the morning of September 22.
According to Laxmi Ramjali, after killing his wife, the accused attempted to stab his 17-year-old daughter and injured her. Having witnessed that, the accused’s 12-year-old son ran to his neighbours, screaming for help.
On a telephone conversation with Kailali District Police Office, DSP Bedprakash Joshi, informed that a team deployed by Masuriya police, arrested the accused who had absconded.
As per the conversation, DSP Joshi mentioned that the victims have filed an F.I.R against the accused. As per the procedure, the district court has extended the period of detention of the accused and further investigation is in process.
The injured victims are being medically treated at Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadi.
The body of the deceased has been taken to the Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadi, for post-mortem.
