Accused of Killing Arrested
Police have arrested Kamal Rawat, 40, on the charge of killing of his wife Khemjung Gurung, 39, of Birtamod Municipality-5. He was arrested on March 18.
The accused had consumed alcohol on March 16 and beaten Khemjung. Initially, she was taken to Kankai Hospital for treatment and later was moved to Nobel hospital for further treatment. After she could not be treated in the hospital on March 17, her family had brought her back to her parent’s house where she took her last breath.
The post-mortem of the body will be conducted at Mechi Zonal Hospital Bhadrapur.
