Accused of Killing After Rape Arrested
Police have arrested Ajay Raj Bhar, 19, of Ramgram-12, Nawalparasi (Bardghat Susta West) on October 18, 2021, on charge of raping and killing a 17-year-old girl.
The victim was raped and killed on August 6, 2021. A complaint was filed against the accused at the District Police Office on August 8.
According to the father of the deceased, the victim was rushed to the Shahid Smriti Community Hospital in Nawalparasi West for treatment on the same day but the hospital had declared her dead on arrival.
The accused, who was absconding after the incident, was arrested on October 18 and further investigation is underway, said DSP Dilip Giri of the District Police Office.
The postmortem of the deceased was conducted at Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Rupandehi on August 8.
