Accused of Killing a Senior Citizen Arrested
Niroj Katuwal, 22, of Mahalaxmi Municipality-5, has been arrested by the police on 25 February in the charge of killing a 70-year-old senior citizen Mana Bahadur Basnet.
Body of the deceased was found in his bedroom while the head was found one kilometer away from his home on 24 February.
As per the DSP of District Police office Man Prasad Shrestha, ear of the deceased was buried near Katwal’s home. He was thus arrested for further investigation.
Police has suspected that the victim was killed on 23 February while he was sleeping.
Postmortem of the body was conducted at District Hospital on 25 February, 2023.
