Accused of Killing a Eight-Year-Old Nephew Arrested
Police arrested Dumbar Puri, 34, a resident of Bangad Kupinde Municipality-10, Majhkanda January 16, 2023, for an accusation of killing Vision Gharti, his eight-year-old nephew.
The residents informed the police that they found out that the accused had taken the child inside the temple in the courtyard of his own house and killed him with a sharp weapon (Hasiya).
Information Officer of the District Police Office, Salyan Gopal Shrestha, has informed that the District Court Salyan has extended the investigation period by 10 days on January 17.
Resident Nandlal Pun Magar said that the accused was not mentally well and had been taking medicine for the past few months. The accused was taken to District Hospital Salyan on January 17 for examination. The police informed INSEC Province Office they conducted the victim’s postmortem at the District Hospital Salyan.
