Accused of Beating Police on Duty Arrested
Ramsharan Pokhrel and Rameshwor Pokhrel of Siranchowk Rural Municipality were arrested on July 1, 2022, on the charge of beating Arjun Bahadur Sen, 34, constable of the temporary Police Station and policeman Ananta Bahadur Rokka, 28, while they were on duty. The accused were under the influence of alcohol when they had beaten the victims.
Both the police had gone to rescue the accused after they fell off their motorbike. The duo were injured after the incident. Rokka has been referred to the old Medical College of Chitwan after primary treatment. He has sustained injuries to his head and face.
Ramsharan Pokhrel is the teacher of Mandali Secondary School and Rameshwor Pokhrel is the teacher of Ratnaraj Secondary School. A case of violation of Public Order has been filed against both the accused on July 3.
