Accused of Attempted Rape Arrested
Police arrested 27-year-old Ashrit Shrestha from Butwal on February 6, of Mallarani rural municipality-4, Pyuthan currently living in Butwal sub-municipality-9, on the charge of attempting to rape a 23-year-old woman.
The victim filed a complaint at the Area police office, Butwal, on February 7, alleging that the accused attempted to rape the victim on February 5. DSP Bijayraj Pandit of Butwal Area Police Office said that action was taken based on the complaint.
The medical examination of the victim was done on February 7 at Bhim Hospital, Bhairahawa.
