Accused of Attempted Murder Arrested
The police arrested 42-year-old Pancha Bahadur Tamang on charges of assaulting and attempting to kill 75-year-old father Ram Bahadur Tamang and 27-year-old daughter-in-law Jenisa Tamang Shailung Rural Municipality-2 during a domestic dispute. The aggrieved party filed a complaint against the accused Tamang at the District Police Office on October 6.
According to Inspector Jabin Shrestha of the District Police Office, the accused attempted to kill his own family on October 5 during a domestic dispute. He informed that the victims were seriously injured in the attack.
The injured are being treated at Jorpati Medical College, Kathmandu. Bhupanarayan Shrestha, a Police Constable working at the Area Police Office, Magapauwa, was slightly injured during the arrest of the accused.
