Accused of Attempt to Rape Arrested
Sakal Dev Mukhiya, 40, of Rupni Rural Municipality-3, has been arrested by the police on January 6, in the charge of attempting to rape a 29-year-old woman.
Saptari police informed that the accused who absconded shortly after the allegation was arrested hiding in his own village.
Victim had filed a complaint against the accused at District Police Office on November 7, 2022. Victim informed that the accused attempted to rape her on October 8 when she was alone at home.
Health checkup of the victim was conducted at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital, Rajbiraj on November 7. District Police Office had registered the case on November 7.
