Accused of Assault Arrested
Police arrested Anand Adhikari, 30, of Rajpur Rural Municipality-1, on June 8, 2023, on charges of assault on Shravan Kumar Yadav, 24, and Shivdev Yadav, 30, of Rajpur Rural Municipality-3, two teachers of Janjyoti Secondary School.
According to the Inspector Naveen Wali of the Area Police Office, Garhwa , Trilok Karki, 35, one of the accused in the incident is absconding.
Principal Keshavaram Yadav informed the assailants assaulted because they were documenting the verbal abuse and property damage caused by the assailants in the school on June 6, during school hours.
He said that Prof. Yadav was in Bhairahawa for educational training and the teachers were beaten up when he was not present.
The teachers of the school have stopped teaching from June 6 and demanded action against the culprits because of abuse, beatings, and increased insecurity.
Regarding the incident, the victim filed a complaint at the local police office, Garhwa on June 7, 2023.
