Accused of Acid Attack sentenced to Ten Years Imprisonment
Janakpur High Court Dench of Judges Dalkumar Khadka and Sagar Bista, sentenced Sanjiv Sah, 36, of Janakpurdham Sub-metropolitan City -7 Janakinagar to 10 and half years imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 6 lakh, on 22 March 2023, in the crime of attacking his wife Aarti Sah, 28, with acid on 14 November 2020.
Sanjeev was found guilty by the District Court Dhanusha on 10 August 2022, and sentenced to 10 and a half years in prison and a fine of 6 lakhs. Rinku Kumari Yadav, an advocate of the victim, said that the Janakpur High Court upheld the decision of the Janakpur High Court.
Advocate Rinku Kumari Yadav and Advocate Achyutam Acharya represented the victim, while Advocate Arun Kumar Yadav represented the opposition.
