Accused Arrested On Charge of Murder
Police have arrested a 28-year-old husband Kushe Shah Teli on August 14 on charge of murdering his wife Sunderkala Devi, 27 of Chireshwor Municipality-6 by attacking her with an axe.
DSP Nakul Pokhrel of District Police Office said that Kushe was arrested on charge of murdering his wife by attacking her with an axe over a family dispute. A search for Sunderkala was initiated after her husband returned home alone after fetching grass on August 12.
The victim’s party had lodged a complaint at Area Police Office on August 14 and based on the complaint, police initiated a search operation of Sunderkala. Her body was recovered from the river bank of Bhainse Khola near Mahendra Highway according to the police.
According to the police, the victim was murdered by an axe and the accused attempted to burn her body.
