Accused Arrested on Charge of Attempted Rape
Police have arrested Binod Kumar Soni, 21, of Rapti Ruralmunicipality-8 on charge of attempting rape on 18 years old girl.
According to DSP Sumit Khadka of the District Police Office, the accused was arrested after the victim’s family lodged a complaint at the Area Police Office, Bhaluwang on October 18 stating that the accused tried to rape her on August 12. Police said that the complaint was lodged late as there was an attempt to settle the incident in the village.
Victim’s health checkup was conducted at Lamahi Hospital on October 18.
