Accused Arrested in Suicide Abetment Case
Police arrested 21-year-old Rajkumar Bhandari of Kumdigau, Guthichaur Rural Municipality-5, on October 17, on charges of abetting the suicide of 18-year-old Bima Khatri of Depalgau, Guthichaur Rural Municipality-5.
According to DSP Chedilal Kamat of the District Police Office, the deceased Khatri committed suicide by hanging herself in her room on the evening of October 16. The complaint filed by the aggrieved party at the District Police Office on October 16 states that Khatri took her own life after being deceived with promises of marriage from the accused for two years. DSP Kamat also mentioned that a suicide note was found at the scene.
The post-mortem of the body was done 17 October at the District Hospital.
