Accused Arrested for Statutory Rape
Police arrested 27-year-old Bir Bahadur BK on 20 August for the charge of raping a 15-year-old girl.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office on August 20, alleging that the accused had raped the victim girl on April 17, 2024, April 20, 2024 and the last time on August 13, 2024. Inspector Kamal Kumar Lungeli of the District Police Office said that the accused was arrested from Meringden Rural Municipality-3 Dobhan Bazar for investigation. The police have kept the address of the arrested accused confidential.
The health examination of the victim was conducted at the District Hospital on 20 August.
