Accused Arrested for Sexually Abusing a Minor
Police arrested 44-year-old Shyam Pariyar of Aarughat Rural Municipality-9 on June 28 for the charge of sexually abusing a 16-year-old minor. The accused was arrested on the basis of a complaint filed by the aggrieved party on June 21. They alleged that he had sexually abused the victim on April 1.
DSP Ramesh Kumar Shrestha of the District Police Office in Gorkha reported that a case under the charge of child sexual abuse was registered against the accused on June 30. Additionally, the accused has been remanded in custody for further investigation.
The health examination of the girl was done on June 21 at Gorkha Hospital.
