Accused Arrested for Sexual Abusing a Minor
Police arrested 57-year-old Shankar Rana of Butwal Sub-metropolitan City-14 on 7 August for sexually abusing a five-year-old girl.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint at the Area Police Office, Butwal on August 8 alleging that the accused had sexually abused the victim on August 6. DSP Bijayaraj Pandit of the Area Police Office, Butwal informed INSEC that the accused was arrested on the basis of the same complaint and further investigation is underway.
The health examination of the victim was done on 7 August at the Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Butwal.
