Accused Arrested for Sexual Abuse
Police arrested three accused on September 16 for the charge of sexually abusing an 18-year-old victim. Inspector Birendra Kumar Yadav from the District Police Office reported that 25-year-old Bishwaram Rana and 28-year-old Umesh Rana, from Dilasaini Rural Municipality-3 in Bajhang District currently working in Chautara Sangachok Gadhi Municipality-5, along with Janak Rana from Chautara Sangachok Gadhi Municipality-5, were taken into custody.
The victim and the accused arrived at the district court on September 16 to resolve the case. Bhupendra Thing, Chairperson of the District Bar Association, stated that upon their arrival, the police arrested the accused, emphasizing that due to the seriousness of the incident, no settlement would be permitted.The victim alleges that the accused sexually abused him on November 3, 2015, during the construction of the district court building. Inspector Yadav stated that the victim filed a complaint with the District Police Office on November 4, 2015. Based on this complaint, the accused were arrested for investigation.
