Accused Arrested for Rape
On August 1, a 40-year-old man named Bhavin Karki was arrested by the police in Khotang Municipality-1 on the accusation of raping a 16-year-old girl.
The victim party had filed a verbal complaint against the accused at the District Police Office on July 29, alleging that the accused had raped the girl on July 28.
The District Police Office’s Deputy Superintendent of Police, Manjil Mukarung, informed that the accused was arrested for investigation based on the complaint of the aggrieved party.
On August 1, the elder father of the alleged victim submitted a written application to the police against the accused.
The health examination of the victim was conducted at the district hospital on August 1.
