Accused Arrested for Rape
Police arrested 36-year-old Bishal Tamang, resident of Belkotgadhi Municipality-1 Sera, Kathmandu, Tarkeshwar Municipality-9 Manamaiju Kothagari on October 25, for the charge of raping a 26-year-old woman.
The victim was raped on February 23, 2024 and she found out that she was pregnant on September 24, 2024 at a hospital in Banepa. Subsequently, the victim filed a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office in Dhulikhel on October 18. Her medical examination was done at Dhulikhel Hospital on the same day.
SP Basundhara Khadka informed that they have taken the accused into custody and are investigating the incident.
