Accused Arrested for Rape
Police arrested 22-year-old Ravi Chadara of Tilakpur, Bhimdatta Municipality-3, on February 16 on charges of raping a 13-year-old girl. The aggrieved party stated that the accused repeatedly raped the girl by luring her with various promises since September 2024. The incident came to light after a medical examination confirmed her pregnancy, leading to a complaint being filed at the District Police Office on February 16.
Based on the complaint filed by the aggrieved party, the accused has been arrested and an investigation is underway, said Inspector Jamuna Joshi of the District Police Office, Kanchanpur. The victim has been receiving medical treatment at the Mahakali Provincial Hospital in Mahendranagar since February 14.
