Accused Arrested for Mistreatment Upon Teacher
Police arrested 35-year-old Menuka Sunuwar Bhandari of Pathibhara Yangbarak Rural Municipality-6 on August 22 for mistreating 28-year-old Khemprasad Ghimire, a teacher at Janata Basic School located in the same place. Inspector Kamal Kumar Lungeli of the District Police Office said that the accused subjected Ghimire to beating while he was on his way to the school on 20 August 2024.
The victim filed a complaint at the District Police Office on August 20, alleging that Menuka and her husband Ramesh Bhandari had beaten him up intending to kill him. Menuka was arrested on August 22 based on the complaint of the victim. Furthermore, the other accused Ramesh Bhandari is currently absconding and the search is going on.
The victim is currently being treated at B & C Hospital, Birtamode, Jhapa.
