Accused Arrested for Killing Wife
Police arrested 42-year-old Omnarayan Shrestha on November 7, 2024 for the charge of killing his 39-year-old wife, Pratikshya Shrestha, of Bhanu Municipality-8, Gairiphant. The police have reported that the accused killed Pratikshya by attacking her with an axe on the night of November 6 following a domestic dispute.
DSP Ashok Thapa from the District Police Office stated that neighbors took the injured to Damauli Hospital that night, where doctors declared her dead. The post-mortem was conducted on November 7 at the same hospital.
