Accused Arrested for Killing Wife
Police arrested 44-year-old Shyam Kumar Kumal, also known as Chakra Bahadur, for allegedly killing his 43-year-old wife Ishwari Kumal of Lamahi Municipality-9 on August 14.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint on August 14 at the district police office, stating that the accused had fatally beaten his wife under the influence of alcohol on August 13. DSP Ram Prasad Timalsina of the District Police Office informed INSEC that the accused has been arrested and further investigation is going on.
The post-mortem was conducted on August 14 at Lamahi Hospital and the body was handed over to the family on the same day.
