Accused Arrested for Killing Minor in Sunsari
Police arrested 30-year-old Saligram Luitel from Itahari Sub-district-5 Pacharukhi for killing an 18-month-old girl from Itahari Sub-metropolitan City-5. The incident happened on August 10, and Luitel allegedly used a blade to kill the victim. It is reported that the accused is paternal uncle to the victim.
Inspector Shambhu Basnet of the Khule Area Police Office in Itahari stated that the preliminary investigation revealed the accused had been taking anti-depressants.
The post-mortem of the body was done at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, Ghopa on 12 August. The family of the deceased conducted the last rites at Budhikhola Swargadwari Ghat in Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-4.
