Accused Arrested for Killing
Police arrested 20-year-old Anil BK of Gauriganga Municipality-3, Kailali, on the charge of killing 19-year-old Manisha Lohar, of Suryodaya Municipal-10 Fikkal, Ilam, currently living in Birtamod Municipality-5 Pathibhara Tole. BK was arrested on September 13 for stabbing Manisha to death at Mahanand Chowk, Arjundhara Municipality-6, Birtamod Shanishchare Road on the same day.
The police suspect that the accused was in a relationship with Manisha and the accused may have stabbed Manisha after a rift in the relationship. SP Milan KC of the District Police Office said that Manisha died on September 13 during treatment at the B&C Hospital, Birtamode.
Police said that after stabbing Manisha, the locals took Anil under control and beat him up for the incident. Anil, who was injured in the beating, is being treated at Mechi Provincial Hospital, Bhadrapur. The victim’s family identified the body after the post-mortem at the Mechi Provincial Hospital on September 14.
