Accused Arrested for Forcing Woman in Sexual Act
Police arrested 38-year-old Sapana Khawas, a massage operator of Thamel Satghumti, Kathmandu Metropolitan Municipality-16, on 29 October for the charge of forcing a 20-year-old woman into sexual activity. SP Bhavesh Rimal informed that the victim filed a complaint with the Anti-Human Trafficking Bureau of Nepal on September 5, 2024. She alleged that after receiving a massage at the Himalayan Ayurvedic Spa operated by Khawas, she was forced into a sexual act under the pretext of an “extra service.”
SP Rimal informed that Sapana Khawas was arrested from Nagarjun Municipality-1 by the investigation team following the complaint of the victim.
