Accused Arrested for Cyber Crime
Police arrested Mandhawaj Ghale, 25, of Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality-2, on May 10 for creating a fake Facebook account of a 23-year-old woman and posting inappropriate posts.
The accused was arrested on the basis of the complaint filed by the victim on May 7. The victim alleged that he created a fake Facebook account in her name and posted indecent videos and pictures.
DSP Ramesh Kumar Shrestha stated that the accused was charged under the Electronic Transactions Act, 2006 on May 13. Additionally, the investigation is going on after getting permission from the District Court to extend the custody of the accused.
