Accused Arrested for Crime of Rape
Police arrested 21-year-old Rim Bahadur Thapa of Harinas Rural Municipality-3 Sirindoda on 7 May for the charge of raping a 15-year-old girl. It is reported that the victim was pregnant after the incident.
Police Inspector Pawal Singh Lama said that Thapa was arrested based on the complaint filed by the aggrieved party on 7 May. They alleged that he raped the victim repeatedly and the last time was in November 2023.
Lama said that a case under the crime of rape has been registered against the accused and the necessary investigation regarding the incident is going on with an extension of 10 days from the District Court, Syangja.
