Accused Arrested for Crime of Rape
Police arrested 24-year-old Dipendra BK of Madi Rural Municipality-6, Amraibot on 3 August for the charge of raping a 56-year-old woman. The aggrieved party filed a complaint at the Area Police Office, Ghartigau on August 3, alleging that the accused raped the victim on August 1 while she was alone at home. Keshavraj Barakoti, Information Officer of the District Police Office, informed INSEC that the accused has been arrested based on the complaint, and further investigation is ongoing. The health examination of the victim was done on 4 August at District Hospital, Reugha.
