Accused Arrested for Child Marriage
Police arrested Amar Bahadur Rana, 30, of Padhini Rural Municipality-4, Geja on May 26 for the charge of marrying an 11-year-old girl.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint at the District Police Office on May 26, alleging that the accused influenced the minor and married her on 13 May.
DSP Rajkumar Shrestha of the District Police Office informed INSEC that the accused was arrested based on the same complaint and further investigation is going on.
The girl was subsequently rescued and her medical examination was done on May 26 at Arghakhanchi Hospital, Sandhikharka
