Accused Arrested for Beating Senior Citizen
Police arrested 47-year-old Basanti KC, 25-year-old Bimala Khatri, 26-year-old Lakshmi Khatri and 28-year-old Sita Khatri of Madhyabindhu-4, Sayapatre, on 18 May for allegedly beating Mina Giri, a 68-year-old senior citizen of the same municipality, during a dispute over land issue.
DSP Ved Bahadur Paudel of District Police Office, Nawalpur informed that four women hit the victim on the head with a stone and severely injured her on 18 May.
Police reported that the victim was initially taken to Madhyabindhu District Hospital for general treatment and is currently being treated at Bharatpur Hospital in Chitwan.
