Accused Arrested for Beating Health Worker
Police arrested 24-year-old Krishna Rana of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-13 on February 17 on charges of beating Dr. Vedprakash Panta working at Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadhi. Kishor Prasad Shrestha, Information Officer at the Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadhi stated that while Dr. Pant was returning after examining patients undergoing treatment in the ICU on February 17, Rana, who was attending as a caretaker for his father, suddenly attacked him. It caused Dr. Pant’s glasses to break and resulting in minor injuries to his face.
DSP Kabindra Singh Bohara of the District Police Office, Kailali stated that the accused was arrested for beating an on-duty heath worker and an investigation is underway.
