Accuse Of Rape Arrested
The police arrested 36-year-old Sujan Nagarkoti of Godavari Municipality-2 on September 2, 2023 on the charge of raping a 16-year-old girl.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint against the accused on September 1 at Area Police, Parisar allegeing that the accused raped the victim on August 31 in a forest in Godavari Municipality-2, Triveni.
SSP Siddhivikram Shah informed that the accused was arrested on September 2 from Lakuri Bhanjyang based on the complaint of the victim.
The medical examination of the victim was done on September 1 at Patan Hospital. SSP Shah said that the police have extended the deadline by seven days, as per the district court’s order, for investigating the accused.
